James Benefield, III, founder of the Firm, has been practicing law in Georgia since 1988.
Jim attended Frederica Academy before graduating cum laude with general honors from the University of Georgia School of Business with a degree in Finance. Afterwards Jim attended the University of Georgia School of Law.
Jim is a proud member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia and Brunswick-Glynn County Bar Association.
Previously involved in litigation, probate, bankruptcy and workman’s compensation; now his practice is focused solely on delivering high-quality legal representation in real estate transactions in Georgia.

Harrison Benefield is a proud third-generation St. Simons Island, GA native. Harrison is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in business management from the Terry College of Business. After graduating from UGA, Harrison moved to Charleston, SC to embark on a career in the freight logistics industry, where he excelled at a couple of logistics firms before starting his own logistics company.
After several years in the logistics industry, Harrison decided to continue his education and went to law school at the Charleston School of Law. Harrison worked for several Charleston, SC area law firms practicing in various areas including civil litigation, business, personal injury, real estate, and estate planning. Harrison is now licensed to practice law in Georgia and South Carolina and chooses to focus his practice on real estate transactions and estate planning.
